Southwire Named as a 2023 Shipper of Choice by FreightWaves

September 18, 2023

Southwire is pleased to announce that it has been named as a 2023 Shipper of Choice award recipient by FreightWaves.

FreightWaves is a leading provider of high-frequency data for the global supply chain. Each year, FreightWaves recognizes the top 25 Shippers of Choice in the global supply chain. Companies are nominated for Shipper of Choice by transportation providers who value the strategic partnership with the shipper.

“It’s a tremendous achievement to receive the FreightWaves Shipper of Choice Award and be recognized in the transportation industry alongside companies like Coca-Cola, The Home Depot, Lowes and Walmart. This achievement is a testament the efforts of Southwire’s Transportation team and demonstrates that our company is a world-class transportation organization,” said Brian Rasperger, director of transportation.

The Shipper of Choice Awards recognize manufacturers, distributors and retailers who do the best job of keeping the U.S. economy moving by fighting driver detention, providing accessible facilities and understanding what it takes to remove inefficiencies from the supply chain.

“I am incredibly proud of the work that Brian and his team have done over the last five years to transform Southwire into a shipper of choice,” said Aaron Asher, senior vice president of distribution, transportation and materials management. “He had the vision to create a carrier alliance that facilitated dependable and consistent customer service during the pandemic and now has Southwire on a path to be best-in-class in the Wire and Cable industry.”
