Productsup Joins ETIM North America
September 5, 2023
ETIM North America has recently announced that Productsup, a big Product-to-Consumer (P2C) software company, has joined the North American chapter of the global product classification standards organization.
“ETIM simplifies the data exchange process between global and domestic manufacturers and their distributors by making it easy to share product content in a consistent manner, regardless of language variants,” said Vincent Peters, CEO at Productsup. “Leveraging our P2C platform, manufacturers and distributors can easily map and enrich their product data according to ETIM standards by country, accelerating the standardization process required to support their distributors and reach more buyers.”
“At ETIM North America, our main focus is enabling the clear communication of product information between manufacturers, distributors, and their downstream customers, domestically and internationally, to reduce supply chain costs and bring efficiency and accuracy to the buying process,” said Mary Shaw, Executive Director of ETIM North America.
“We are thrilled to welcome Products up as a Solution Provider Member of our North American chapter, as we’re very impressed by their abilities as a P2C platform to automate and streamline the entire data exchange process while maintaining the integrity of the ETIM model and helping to drive it’s adoption in North America.”
Productsup’s membership to ETIM North America breaks down barriers to cross-border data exchanges. For instance, European distributors require certain data from North American manufacturers. Through its Distribution PX offering, Productsup delivers precise and highly technical product data to various data pools, distributors, retailers, and installers across multiple countries, while aligning with local ETIM classification standards. Manufacturers and distributors can easily generate new revenue streams and expand globally through more efficient, automated processes.
Shaw adds that, “helping the wholesale industry move forward in its digitalization initiatives is important to all of us. Together, we can accomplish this standardization effort for the good of the industry, and each company.”
