Legrand Canada’s Jose Mozota Named BICSI Canadian Director

 José Mozota, Legrand Canada’s National Sales Manager, Data Communications, has been named to the Board of Directors of BICSI as the Canadian Regional Director. 

With a doctorate in Chemistry from Ottawa University, Mozota has had a wide and varied career starting with Nalco, Naperville IL in 1983, a position as country manager again with Nalco as Venezuela’s country manager, and VP operations in Brazil with responsibility for seven countries. He was recruited into Legrand Ortronics (New London, Conn.) as international team director, and promoted to Vice-President International Sales & Marketing in 2008. 

Mozota was brought to Legrand Canada into his current position as National Sales Manager, Data Communications in 2012. 

An active participant in BICSI for over 10 years, Mozota has made many presentations including a seminar on Air Control Solutions, presenting the concept of Layer Zero and its impact on network performance. In 2014, he presented at a conference on the HealthCare vertical, the TIA standard and BICSI best practices document.

His first official BICSI role will be to be officially inaugurated next year in February at the BISCI Winter Conference & Exhibition in Orlando, FL.
