HSL Automation Ltd. Powers Up with ABB to Serve BC’s Industrial Markets

March 14, 2017

In an expansion of its relationship with ABB, HSL Automation Ltd. will distribute ABB’s low voltage drives within all industrial markets in British Columbia.

For the past 12 years, HSL Automation Ltd. has successfully distributed the drives in Western Canada’s commercial HVAC/R markets. The company’s senior management team already has 100+ combined years of variable frequency drive (VFD) experience and application expertise in BC’s industrial markets.

“HSL Automation is honoured to expand our partnership with ABB drives, which are commonly recognized as the highest quality and feature rich product in the market today,” confirm Steve Hoyland and Grant Huff, Managing Partners of HSL Automation Ltd. “We are very excited to bring our high level of customer service, integration capabilities, extensive local inventory, and technical support to the industrial markets.”

As for ABB, Daniel Cotton, General Manager for Drives and Control at ABB Canada, says “We are confident that our partnership with HSL will optimize and continue to create opportunities for growth based on their expertise and application knowledge for the market in British Columbia.”

Electric motor-driven systems offer industry enormous potential for energy savings. Industry consumes about 40% of all electricity generated, and nearly 70% of this electrical energy is consumed by the millions of electrical motors installed worldwide. Every year, several more million electric motors are added. These motors are driving machines, compressors, fans, pumps, and conveyors in virtually all industrial sectors. Installing ABB drives can reduce energy costs and significantly contribute to improving process control and reliability, increasing production capacity, reducing maintenance costs, and lowering reactive power.

HSL Automation Ltd., 100% Canadian owned and operated with offices in Vancouver, Victoria, Calgary and Edmonton, is a value add service oriented supplier of variable frequency drives, power quality and custom integrated drive solutions for the commercial and industrial markets; www.HSLAutomation.com.
