Peter Hanna, Harting’s new Territory Sales Manager for Ontario, is leveraging an extensive background in HVAC design and sales to help customers adopt the company’s industrial connectivity, edge computing and other advanced solutions. His appointment enhances the company’s ability to provide personal support in the country’s largest market at a time when Harting is introducing exciting new technologies for increasing productivity in both conventional and Industry 4.0/IoT production environments. Carl Maalouf, Harting Canada’s Director of Sales, says Hanna’s hiring is a key part of the company’s growth plan in the Ontario market. “Since Harting Canada was created, we’ve seen business grow steadily, in large part by offering solutions-oriented, pre- and after-sales support, whether it’s from our staff in Canada or from the technical support team at Harting North America. That’s our strategy, and Peter, with his experience in both product design and sales, is an ideal fit.”

Hanna earned a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Engineering specializing in solar energy, both from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, then worked in the HVAC business as a design engineer, direct salesperson, manager of a sales network, and as a business development manager.

Harting develops, manufactures and sells electrical and electronic connectors, device terminations, network components as well as cable harnesses for networks or machinery.
