Groupe Deschênes Inc. — Parent Company of Deschênes & Fils

Groupe Deschenes

Founded in 1940 under the name Deschênes & Fils Ltée, Groupe Deschênes Inc. is a Quebec-based family business headquartered in Montreal. Although the firm began as a modest distributor-wholesaler of plumbing and heating products, over the years it gradually diversified its offerings and made key acquisitions.

Groupe Deschênes Inc. is now the parent company for many affiliates, while Deschênes & Fils is devoted to the distribution and wholesale of plumbing, heating and fire protection products in Quebec. Today, Groupe Deschênes Inc. is staffed by 1,400 people who work in eight centres of operation and nearly 100 sales outlets.

As a distributor-wholesaler, Groupe Deschênes Inc. generates annual sales of approximately $600 million, making it one of the country’s three largest distributor-wholesalers (in its sector of activity) and the largest Canadian-owned company of its kind. It bases its success on balancing four primary values: integrity, equity, teamwork, and presence.

Groupe Deschênes Inc. was named one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies in 2010, 2011 and 2012.
