CSA Appoints New General Counsel and Corporate Secretary

CSA Appoints New General Counsel and Corporate Secretary

December 23, 2016

Kathryn Yung, CSA Group’s Vice President and Deputy General Counsel, will be promoted to General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, reporting directly to David Weinstein, President and CEO.

Yung replaces R.J. Falconi, who after 17 years with CSA Group has decided to retire effective January 27 (shown in photo with Yung). During his tenure with CSA Group, he has served as Executive Vice President, Chief Legal and Governance Officer, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary.

Falconi has made many contributions to the organization, including the development of world-class legal, anti-counterfeiting and government relations departments. As Corporate Secretary, he has provided outstanding support to CSA’s Board or Directors, says Weinstein.

Kathryn Yung joined CSA Group in January 2005 as Legal Counsel and, over the years, took on increasingly complex and high-profile projects including M&A, litigation management, new business risk assessments, asset purchase and divestitures, and legal support for inter-company financial arrangements. For two years Yung undertook an assignment in the UK as Integration Manager and Interim Managing Director for CSA Group’s Leyland office and as regional counsel for Europe. Prior to joining CSA Group, she was a member of the legal team at Imperial Oil.
