Intralec Celebrates Martin McDermott’s Remarkable Career and Retirement

Intralec is proud to celebrate the remarkable career of Martin McDermott, who officially retired after 28 years of dedicated service as a Sales Representative for North GTA and Ontario.

Martin’s journey with Intralec has been extraordinary, filled with strong relationships, industry achievements, and a legacy of professionalism that will not be forgotten.

Martin McDermott first announced his retirement in a heartfelt message on LinkedIn, stating:

“This year begins an exciting new chapter in the lives of myself and my family as I join the lucky group who can now say that they are retired. The 28 years that I have had the pleasure of working at Intralec has been an amazing journey with a company where you are truly one of the family. The years went by in the blink of an eye.”

To commemorate Martin McDermott’s retirement, Intralec honoured him at its annual employee holiday celebration at Zorro’s. The event was attended by past and present colleagues, including former company leaders Murray Chamney and Ted Doherty, who shared fond memories and words of appreciation. President Cindy Doherty also delivered heartfelt farewell remarks, expressing gratitude for Martin’s incredible contributions over nearly three decades.

“Martin has been an integral part of our team, representing Intralec with passion, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to our customers. His presence will be greatly missed, but we are thrilled for him as he steps into this exciting new chapter,” said Cindy Doherty.

Throughout his tenure, Martin was known not only for his deep industry knowledge but also for his kindness, mentorship, and the genuine friendships he formed with colleagues and customers alike. His ability to make work feel less like work was a gift to those who enjoyed working alongside him.

As Martin McDermott moves into retirement, he leaves a legacy of excellence and a lasting impact on Intralec and the industry. Intralec thanks him for 28 incredible years and wishes him all the best in this well-earned next phase of life.
