CMP Products Limited Joins ETIM North America

April 25, 2024

ETIM North America has recently announced that CMP Products Limited, global specialists in the manufacture of cable glands and cable cleats, joined the North American chapter of the global product classification standards organization.

With office and distribution networks spread across 6 continents including Europe, the Americas, Australia, Asia, and Africa, in more than 8 industries, CMP is setting standards through continuous improvement and innovation that ensures their products set a high standard in safety and performance. Through this, their products raise the bar in terms of setting standards; influencing where they can do so; and creating products that are often designed to outperform national standards.

“We at CMP are committed to helping the industry refine the ETIM product classification to support the industry’s digitalization evolution. We belong to ETIM in other countries and feel that it is natural step, as we expand in North America, to participate in ETIM North America and lend our product knowledge and support. As we do with our products, CMP recognizes that ETIM is setting and raising the bar for standardized digital product data that improves industry data communication, improves customer experience, and reduces supply chain costs,” stated Jamie Hughes, Regional Manager – The Americas, CMP Products Ltd.

“We are excited to have CMP’s participation in ETIM North America”, commented Mary Shaw, Executive Director of ETIM North America. “As a global manufacturer, their knowledge and expertise in cable cleats, glands and lugs, makes them a valuable asset in refining and enhancing the ETIM model to meet the needs of North America’s electrical distributors and customers.”

She added “ETIM North America is a collaborative process where all direct members can contribute to help define product classification standards that will drive our industry forward. It is important that manufacturers and distributors, of all sizes and product types, support the electrical industry ecosystem’s digital transformation and actively participate in the classification process. We’re better together.”
