Aug 3, 2021

McLoughlan is one of the largest distributors of electrical, lighting, automation, and safety products in Atlantic Canada. Founded in St. John’s, NL in 1956 by James McLoughlan, the company is currently under the leadership of his daughter Ann.

This acquisition significantly reinforces Guillevin’s strong market position in Atlantic Canada to a wider customer base. It will allow the company to offer greater supplier coverage and more opportunities for strategic partners in this market.

Cory MacGuigan will assume the position of General Manager, reporting directly to Luc Rodier, President and Chief Executive Officer. Cory was General Manager of the Charlottetown, PEI location. Cory will report directly to me. Guillevin will continue to operate all McLoughlan locations under the same brand and with the team already in place.

McLoughlan Supplies Limited has locations in St. John’s, Grand Falls – Windsor, Corner Brook, Dartmouth, Charlottetown, and Halifax; www.mcloughlansupplies.com.
