Habitat for Humanity – Call for Electrical Product Donations

EIN EFC habitat 400

Nov 29, 2019

EFC and Habitat for Humanity Canada have issued a call for electrical product donations.

Habitat Canada knows affordable home ownership empowers Canadian families with a sense of pride and independence. A number of EFC members are strong supporters of Habitat Canada. Many member companies not only contribute financially, but also provide product and volunteer support to Habitat affiliates across Canada.

There are three ways to get involved:

1. Product Donations

Donate gift-in-kind products that will go directly into our Habitat homes. Electrical products are in high demand and are a large expense for local Habitats. Electrical products such as loadcentres, circuit breakers, and wiring are a large expense for local Habitats.

Download and complete this pledge form and return it to EFC (c/o Rita Davis) to rdavis@electrofed.com

2. Cash Donations

Your team can have their own Habitat Build Day or you can pool funds with other EFC members in your area and participate together.

See below for more details on EFC’s Team Building Opportunity with Habitat.

3. ReStore Donations

Discontinued product or product not required for building a home can go to ReStores. All proceeds go back to the local Habitat and help build more homes.

A note about product donations: Habitat’s Restores are always in need of quality products and will accept donations of overstocked or discontinued items. Individual and corporate donations to the 100+ ReStore locations across Canada help divert more than 36,000 tons of material from landfills and fund Habitat for Humanity housing projects in local communities!
