This year’s EFC 2019 Trailblazer Award recipient is Salim Bhojani from Westburne. The Trailblazer Award recognizes exceptional leaders who have advanced the Canadian electrical industry. This award is given to someone from an EFC member organization who has been a catalyst for change by bringing new ideas, processes or best practices to the forefront in the industry.

Salim joined Westburne as National Director, Business Strategy & Marketing over 4 years ago from the telecommunications industry. This experience has allowed him to bring new perspectives on how Westburne goes to market.

Anonymously nominated by his colleagues, we asked Salim what this award means to him. He began by expressing how surprised and caught off guard he had been by the recognition. He then stated, that this award means “our Westburne team’s hard work is making an impact and is being recognized by the community. This industry is doing such cool things every day, and EFC provides us with a platform to celebrate this.”

Nominating a company or individual for their hard work and successful accomplishments builds our community to grow, lead and compete in an ever-changing world. Recognition can breed success.
