Electro-Federation Canada has become an association member of the Building Energy Innovators Council (BEIC), an industry-driven group that aims to accelerate the collaboration, innovation, and adoption of clean building technologies across Canada. BEIC members are recognized leaders in the commercial real estate sector in areas such as: electrical, mechanical, HVAC, lighting, general contracting, BAS controls, solar power, electric car charging, energy storage and other solutions.

“This affiliation provides our Canadian electrical community with a strong platform to advocate for change—shaping policies related to new, low carbon building technologies and energy efficiency retrofit projects,” says Carol McGlogan, President & CEO, Electro-Federation Canada. “BEIC’s leadership will help bring our channel one step closer to key partners who are committed to developing world-class commercial properties that maximize energy savings and optimize building efficiencies and workspace environments.”

“The Electrical industry plays a crucial role in the built environment, supplying innovative, energy efficient, and sustainable solutions for all types of projects,” says Jonathan Morier, National Coordinator, BEIC. “This partnership further extends our council’s reach into an important segment of the market that supports the modernization of buildings. Moving forward, we look forward to working with EFC and its member companies.”

BEIC is an industry driven not-for-profit organisation established to accelerate the collaboration, innovation, and adoption of cleantech in buildings. This includes energy efficiency and renewable power solutions that will transform the built environment, develop world class companies, create jobs and enable economic prosperity in a future low carbon era.
