Electro-Federation Canada’s 2018 conference will feature leading Industry speakers, a two-day business-to-business head office program, EFC’s 2018 Research Report “Digital Supply Chain Excellence,” valuable networking opportunities, and an unforgettable BC golf experience at Furry Creek Golf Course.Opening keynote speaker will be Tom Rand, Cleantech investor, advisor, speaker and author of “Waking the Frog” and “Kick the Fossil Fuel Habit.” Clean disruption is coming and our industry is on the right side of change. Despite good intentions, our global economy is on a collision course with extreme climate change. Yet we remain paralyzed. Why? Tom Rand will discusses the opportunities of clean tech for the Canadian electrical industry and explore underlying reasons that keep global citizens from acting with effort to solve the climate change problem, from the psychology of denial to a deep and inherent conservatism in the business community.

• Rawlson O’Neil King, Communications Director, Continental Automated Buildings Association (CABA), reporting on two of CABA’s brand new studies completed this year on smart homes and Intelligent buildings. Rawlson O’Neil King is an expert on intelligent and green buildings, smart homes and smart communities, who has spoken on these topics in China, Russia, Singapore and throughout the United States and Canada.
• Janice Gross Stein, Founding Director, The Munk School of Global Affairs, will provide a unique perspective on such global issues as economics, geopolitics or international security and terrorism.
• Lino Casalino, Partner, PwC, on “Industry 4.0, How Digitization Makes the Supply Chain More Efficient, Agile and Customer-focused.” Lino Casalino is a partner in PwC’s Operations Consulting team based in Toronto. He has 30 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management, procurement and supply chain strategy and transformation, organizational effectiveness, and the implementation of enabling technologies. This session will be followed by a presentation and panel discussion on EFC’s new research study, “Let’s Get Digital: A Roadmap for Digital Supply Chain Excellence in the Canadian Electrical Industry.”
• John Herdman, Coach of Canada’s Men’s National Soccer Team. In this presentation, “Rise! Leadership & Performance Improvements,” John will share his performance-improvement philosophies, including leadership and motivation, going outside one’s comfort zone, reaching for the top, and, most importantly, crafting and leading a high-performance culture.
