Hubbell Canada LP and Burndy Canada Inc. Merge

Hubbell

December 1, 2017

The final phase of the stepped plan to bring Hubbell Canada LP and Burndy Canada Inc. together as one legal entity is complete. The merged legal entity will be known as Hubbell Canada ULC. The plan is to market the merged organization as simply Hubbell Canada.

In a significant parallel initiative, the two organizations have successfully merged their SAP operating systems into one common SAP enterprise system for Canada thanks to a very strong collaborative effort by a committed local team and skilled Hubbell employees from across the organization over the last 11 months.

These two accomplishments are significant in that the unified organization is now well positioned to offer customers an ease of doing business across many brands, many markets and many products. Hubbell Canada partners may now enjoy the benefits of reduced transaction cost with an ability to place any product on a single order, receive one shipment and one invoice.

The Burndy Canada Inc. organization was welcomed into the Hubbell Canada facility in Pickering ON in late 2015. Together, these premier businesses are organized internally to assure that the high level of service that customers have enjoyed in the past continues to be a competitive advantage. “The combined businesses and our most valuable asset, our people, are under one roof, operating under one system and one set of policies and procedures to make dealing with the new Hubbell Canada easier than ever.” Says Kevin Mallory, Vice President and General Manager, Hubbell Canada. Manufacturing locations in Montreal QC and Orillia ON will continue to operate as they have in the past.

Mallory adds “This investment is a strong affirmation of our domestic commitment to serve our Canadian partners with dedicated resources, people and infrastructure. Additionally, we are now in a strong position to service all of the premier brands in our product portfolio through one organization.”
