Liteline Plays to Support Sick Kids, One Match and JCC Chai Sports

Liteline

With Liteline Head coach Steve Silverstein behind the bench, the team at Liteline recently took to the ice in a Toronto hockey tournament to support an annual charity event Skate for Sarah, raising money for SickKids, One Match and JCC Chai Sports.

By using the avenue of hockey and the Skate for Sarah tournament, the JCCs of Greater Toronto, along with sponsors, supporters like Liteline and friends will raise funds and awareness for some great causes.

SickKids is Canada’s most research-intensive children’s hospital and the largest centre dedicated to improving children’s health in the country. Every day at SickKids, staff are tackling the greatest challenges in child health, from children facing cancer to failing hearts and syndromes yet to be diagnosed.

One match is a part of Canadian Blood Services. Canadian patients depend on them to manage safe, secure and cost-effective blood systems. They bring quality to every aspect of their work – from collecting, testing and manufacturing blood, blood components and stem cells to knowledge creation and dissemination to conducting ground-breaking research.

JCC Chai Sports, a division of the JCCs of Greater Toronto, is a community leader in recreational sports programs in the GTA. The experience of playing sports or being part of a team is one that has tremendous potential to shape and impact the life of a young child. It is our goal to ensure that every child has the opportunity to play regardless of their family’s financial situation.
