Attend EFC Quebec Region’s Economic Forum, September 21

Taking place in Montreal, the September 21 event features guest speakers and a networking reception on the 46th floor of the newly renovated Place Ville Marie.

Among the speakers:

1. Robert Hogue, Senior Economist, Royal Bank of Canada, responsible for the analysis and forecasts of the housing market to the Canada and Canadian provincial economies. He counts among his publications real estate trends and access to property, provincial perspectives and analysis of provincial budgets. In his role, he is often asked to comment on changes in the economic climate. Hogue began his career at Ontario Hydro, where he worked for four years as an economist specializing in industrial and macroeconomic analysis. Born in Montreal, Hogue holds a B.A. in economics from the University of Montreal and a Master’s in Economics from Queen’s University.

2. Christian Bernard, Vice President, Strategy and Communications at Montréal International, the organization responsible for the attraction of foreign investment, international organizations and strategic talents in greater Montreal. Bernard oversees all the activities of the Directions of the economic studies, with a goal of generating a metropolitan economic intelligence with high added value, and this, from a general perspective of economic development. He holds a Masters in International Management from the the École des Hautes Études Commerciales de Montréal.

3. John Parisella, Executive Director of Campus Montreal, responsible for the major fundraising campaign of HEC Montréal, Polytechnique Montréal and the University of Montreal. He is also an associate professor in the political science department. He is associated with the Raoul-Dandurand Chair, a research centre in American studies at the Université du Québec à Montréal, as well as visiting Professor (Fellow) at the Centre d’études et de recherches internationals (CERIUM). He is currently a political analyst of U.S. policy at Radio-Canada, and was recently named an officer of the Ordre national du Québec.
