Horizon Utilities is nearing completion of a $1,735,000 infrastructure modernization project in Dundas, ON. The investment is part one of a two phase, $3 million upgrade into the local electricity system.

This system renewal includes upgrading new underground civil infrastructure, and installing new padmount transformers and underground cables.

Several assets throughout Horizon Utilities’ system in Hamilton and St. Catharines are facing significant pressures due to increased customer demand and a growing number of system components nearing or at end of life and which require replacement.
