2023 EFC Industry Conference: Honing the Power to Lead

The EFC Conference that took place May 30 to June 2 this year in beautiful Charlevoix Quebec, along the north shore of the Saint Lawrence river, was a powerful display of community, progressive leadership, purpose-driven goals, and celebrations. New visions and next steps were top of mind as EFC found “a place for everyone’ as stated by Carol McGlogan, President & CEO.

Held in person at the Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu, and virtually, this EFC conference ushered in many memorable highlights, including:

  • Highest second attendance to date: more than 600 members and industry guests participated in-person/online
  • Second hybrid conference: providing live and OnDemand access to speaker programs 
  • First Semi-private meeting rooms
  • First digital kiosk registrations
  • 30% of attendees were first-time participants, resulting in new engagement from the membership
  • Six speaker sessions that appealed to diverse interests, with four professional speakers including: Keynote Speaker Dr. Amir Georges Sabongui, Innovation Speaker Amber Mac, Olympian Cheryl Pounder, and Closing Keynote Speaker Shawn Kanungo
  • Ample networking opportunities, including receptions, companion breakfast, CEMRA Night and more
