2019 LFI Innovation Awards Spotlight Excellence and Creativity

The celebrated LFI Innovation Awards marked the opening this week of the 2019 Lightfair International Trade Show and Conference with a dramatic showcasing of the industry’s most innovative products and designs introduced during the last 12 months.

The 2019 awards and trade show opening mark the 30th anniversary of the world’s largest annual lighting and technology event. The 2019 awards saw entries spanning 14 categories, with each submission judged by an independent panel of lighting professionals. Winning entries exemplified the best in innovative design and thinking. 

Among the 16 winning entries were these key awards: 

  • Ecosense Lighting (Lore) — Most Innovative Product of the Year, the program’s highest award, recognizing the most innovative new product, Booth 5227
  • Acuity Brands Lighting (Peerless Renna) — Design Excellence Award, recognizing outstanding achievement in design, Booth 1201
  • SLD Laser (LaserLight MicroSpot Module) — Technical Innovation Award, recognizing the most forward-thinking advancement in lighting technology, Booth 132
  • Nichia America Corporation (Colour Turnable COB) and Samsung Elecronics (Samsung E-Series) — Judges’ Citation Awards (special recognition of an innovative product at the judges’ discretion), Booths 1119 and 1435, respectively.

The award winners continue to exemplify exceptional innovation among the industry’s best and brightest showcased throughout the Trade Show and Conference.
